And so this is Christmas {2012} post 3
Christmas treats and plates to deliver the kids love to make!
  The kids have such a blast playing with the never ending sugar cookie dough
 My mom handed down about a million vintage cookie cutters and boy do my kids squeal in excitement when I get them down!
Thankfully Dad usually comes home by the time I am so sick of sugar cookies that he saves the day and helps frost them all :)
 Someday I’ll learn how to make caramels and peanut brittle but for now we stick with the good ol’ Choc drizzled pretzels
 And so yummy rolo, m&m pretzels {so yummy!}

The kids are so cute and I so do it for them each year {we aren’t even close to having pretty looking Christmas treat plates} But we drive around to our family and friends and look at all the Christmas lights.
The kids get out of the car at each stop, take turns delivering the plates and cards
and sing Jingle bells at the door for each of them {someday we’ll teach them another song :)}
Oh ya this was our card for Christmas this year that they delivered…..
 I had previously designed a cute card for a friend of mine so by the time I did ours I was a little burned out and in a very goofy mood that evening– didn’t know if you could tell or not :)

Here’s the other one I did– she has such a fun vintage style- I love getting to design things for her!

And so this is Christmas {2012} post 2
The stockings were hung by the Chimney with care….
and blank canvas’s were propped on the mantle cuz mama didn’t care to finish decorating :)
Paper-whites were planted for all to see and enjoy,
{not to smell though– those things definitely have a “unique” smell :) Dave so kindly refers to it as the pee flower }
 And pretty poinsettia’s that I surprisingly kept alive!
A pretty sparkling collection of Christmas did I displayed on my shelves

 And my now so unique candles I also did have {the storage container melted and deformed them all  :) }
We strung balls of Jolly in our front stair window
And wrapped the staircase in ribbon and garland!
We even hung lights outside on our house for the first time ever {forgot to take a pic of that} and all around had a warm festive Christmas home to come home to!
And so this is Christmas {2012} post 1
Well since I’ve been so lazy this season in keeping up my blog we are now going to post the millions of pictures I took in a series — And so this is Christmas!—  :)
The kids {and possibly me!} are always so excited that it’s hard to wait till after thanksgiving to put up the tree and decorations!
But we do and I always remember why after so–  dad has to be there to help with the top– I can’t reach it.
 The kids help sort out the branches and help me put them on
Dave was the awesome photog for these shots :) Although I’m sure it is not nearly as fun as going out and hunting for a Christmas tree through the snow I am really fond of my $30 fake walmart tree– I think it is very pretty :) and love having it lit up every night {and possibly in the mornings, and afternoons– hey I really like the lights!} Plus the kids like the adventure of sorting out the branches and than wrapping them with lights!
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas tree– how I love to have thee.

Another small tradition we do as a family is since my mom grew up in Germany we celebrate with putting our shoes out by the door and waiting for St. Nick to fill them up.  No whips this year, but I did hide Payton’s pretty well inside his shoe– he was a little bummed until he found it than he was all giggles and teasing :)
My Girls
First off Happy Late Thanksgiving!
Our Thanksgiving was low key and relaxing and I sadly burned my beautiful cherry pie :) don’t ever confuse 425 with 475 while cooking it doesn’t turn out well :) But nevertheless we still had fun.
Brynley put on a cute thanksgiving program at school and Ellie very much enjoyed watching them sing!
And most the rest of this post is just about my cute sweet little girls!
They both LOVE and I mean LOVE to color and draw– give them some paper and crayons and I’ve bought myself an half hour or more of quiet time
Brynley likes to leave me little drawings and artwork surprises around the house a lot– I thought these one’s were so cute that she taped above our bed.
It’s not to shocking to find Ellie wanting to sleep closer to her sister too- funny funny girl– as of lately she’s been stripping off to nothing and hiding/sleeping under bryns bed, than I fish her out and get her dressed again and put her back in her bed– silly little girl.
And I loved this pic of Bryn and her{awesome sauce} daddy—- She’s learning the violin and so it’s a lot of lovely violin sounds{screaching, nails on chalkboard}going on around here– When I’m busy busy Dave helps take over in coaching her :) She is absolutely loving it- which makes this mama happy!
I have to admit I love my sweet sweet little girls– They make me so very happy!
and just so this little sweet boy knows too– He is my little prince and I love him to pieces also!
